The town of Blackpool, Lancashire, England, has been a centre of English tourism since railway lines opened the seaside resort in the 1800s. Nestled against the Irish Sea, it has a population of about 144,000, making it the fourth-largest city in North West England, after Liverpool, Manchester and Warrington. Lancaster – Lancashire is located in northwest England. The city is inland only three miles from the port Morecambe Bay.. The Lund River runs through the town and allows shipping access further inland.
