I being of dual ‘religionship’ ( Southern Baptist / Roman Catholic) tend to ask Mrs. Pietrobelli for “relief”. She’s an eldery neighbor , kind of frisky and quite intelligent in her own magical way. Her stories and advice are second to none.
Life is a journey of nights and days
The pain and the happiness pass as a phase
Through sickness and health
For poorer and wealth
Anger and hate, we turn and incline
Towards peace and fright, away from this plight
Walking in his Spirit, truth and his light.
We aren’t alone and find a home
At each door we deign to knock
Each smile and heart his love imparts
Each tear his pain and grief..
Can’t truly give a complete critique since I’m not a believer…just wanted to say, it sounds very much like the hymns I used to sing as a kid at Elim Sunshine Corner rallies….where I learned ‘The Wise man built his house upon the rock’ and ‘I am s.a.v.e.d’ for which I was rewarded with sweets….see that’s how they lured us in!!!
Preaching to the choir again…
Yahoo! is like a lost soul magnet. Jesus works the same way. There are no eyes to look into. There’s only belief or non-belief.
The poem might surely work for some.

Had to find my Hymnal! Yes, it does work well…
A modern day John Wesley!
I hope in that house there is a mansion for us agnostics!
