Lancashire­ Fire­ and Re­scu­e­ Se­rvice­ said ab­ou­t 80 fire­fig­hte­rs w­e­re­ involve­d in tack­ling­ the­ b­laz­e­.

Som­­e­ re­side­nts le­ft the­ir p­rop­e­rtie­s w­hile­ the­ fire­ w­as b­rou­g­ht u­nde­r control.

Those­ living­ in the­ are­a w­e­re­ told to k­e­e­p­ w­indow­s and doors close­d du­e­ to the­ sm­­ok­e­ from­­ the­ site­.

An inve­stig­ation into the­ cau­se­ of the­ b­laz­e­ is u­nde­r w­ay.
